NWSA1455.  USS Boone trains with Tunisian navy
     ABOARD USS BOONE (NWSA) -- The U.S. and Tunisian navies
worked together to increase their interoperability during the
mid-January Exercise NADOR 96-1 in the central Mediterranean Sea.
     The guided-missile frigate USS Boone (FFG 28), Tunisian
missile fast-attack craft La Galite (PCFG 501) and Carthage (PCFG 
503), and the Tunisian patrol craft Utique (PCF 207) participated 
in the exercise.
     NADOR 96-1 included communications drills,
surface-to-surface gunnery exercises, and a search-and-rescue
exercise.  Liaison officers from both navies cross-decked between
ships during the exercise.
